  • Red Poll Cattle Society National Show – new for 2017!
  • The Queen’s Prize Perpetual Challenge Trophy – new for 2017!

Livestock highlights!

Once again the show will offer a packed programme of livestock with over 600 livestock classes, 196 special classes and 258 championship classes for Cattle, Sheep, Pigs and Goats.

Poultry, including waterfowl and turkeys, rabbits, cavies and eggs, will be among those featuring in the ever-popular small livestock marquee, which will again have a Championship Row.

The show is particularly proud and delighted to welcome the Red Poll Cattle Society National Show to this year’s show, with Red Poll breeders from across the UK coming to compete with additional breed classes throughout Wednesday morning and Red Poll young handlers classes in the afternoon. The Red Poll is native to Norfolk and Suffolk.

Also new for 2017 will be the awarding of The Queen’s Prize Perpetual Challenge Trophy, presented on behalf of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, to the Best Animal in the Beef Cattle Section.

“Our equine and livestock line-up is as impressive as ever and we’re delighted to welcome a host of new shows, competitions and qualifiers for 2017,” says Mark Nicholas, Show Director.  “From highland cattle to young handlers, to small breed ponies to heavy horses, there will be a non-stop programme of equine and livestock at this year’s show, including a record number of Horse of the year Show qualifiers, the exciting Ride and Drive in the Grand Ring and the Red Poll National championships…to name just a few!”
