Our 2018 programme of events in The Grand Ring will be exciting as ever and will be announced next year!
But in the meantime here’s a taste from our 2017 line-up!
King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery
In their only appearance outside of London this year, the Royal Norfolk Show is excited to announce The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery to the show on 28 and 29 June 2017.
In a jaw-dropping display, you will be able to witness the power and skill of ‘The Troops’ soldiers who drive a team of six horses to pull six First World War ‘thirteen pounder’ state saluting guns.
RAF Falcons Parachute Display Team
Widely recognised as the UK’s premier military parachute display team, the Falcons, based at RAF Brize Norton, Oxfordshire, will be back at the show with their break-taking display. Falling at speeds up to 120 mph, you’ll be captivated by their exciting free fall display, which includes advanced manoeuvres and the entire team landing with pin-point accuracy in the Grand Ring from up to 12,000 feet!
Horse Programme – and Horse of the Year Qualifier events
Throughout the two-days there is a stunning programme of professional horse riding and qualifying events. This year’s competitions in the Grand Ring include: Cobs Ridden, Showjumping including the exciting Ride & Drive and the prestigious International Stairway, Heavy Horse Turnouts, Scurry Driving and many others. Watch out for the top class British competitors taking part.
Parade of Hounds
A tradition of the English countryside, the Parade of Hounds is a real spectacle of hounds, huntsmen and horses. The ever popular parade will delight the crowds and give young and old alike the chance to meet hounds from across Norfolk, plus the famous and rare Sealyham Terriers from Devon.
Grand Parade of Livestock and Heavy Horses
As a salute to our farmers, exhibitors and their animals there will be a Grand Parade of award winning and champion livestock and heavy horses.
