A whole range of exciting and educational activities and events are being planned for the Royal Norfolk Show 2020.

We are delighted to be able to offer schools free tickets to make the most of this unique educational opportunity. The Royal Norfolk Show provides young people with the chance to engage with a large variety of activities and events around the topic of food, farming and the countryside.

What is on offer for schools? There are a whole range of things to do at the show for all ages; a few have been highlighted below:

Discovery Zone

Discover a range of exciting activities aimed at school children to engage with food, farming and the countryside.

Mr Mawkin’s Farm

Mr Mawkin, the friendly scarecrow, will be at the Royal Norfolk Show with his farm full of animals including sheep, pigs, donkeys, and goats. This exhibit provides children with the opportunity to get close and learn about the many diverse breeds  with the Rare Breeds Survival Trust.


There will be competitions for pupils to engage them throughout the show.

School Gardens 

Schools are invited to take part in the Home and Garden Show with their very own School Gardens.

Interested? Complete this online form with your details and submit a brief based on the specifications detailed in this document

Your brief should include:

  • A minimum 300 word description of your concept
  • A sketch in any form of your initial plans
  • Plant List
  • Any additional information
